up date, The Vigilant Shield - 08, is a drill that will revolve around staged Nukes being set-off in 5 areas of the states. Other countries involved are, Canada, England, Australia, and Guam.

General David Petraeus said today, that Iraq would get harder before it gets easier, and many more casualties will take place. He also admitted that violence was still high (holding steady) in Iraq, even though sectarian killings were down. As the senate was passing the Iraq war bill that starts bringing the troops home October 1st of this year, Petraeus was telling the press that the U.S. needs to be committed to the war in Iraq. Yesterday I finished my blog over at Word Press with a comment on the Imus "Nappy Headed Hoe" story, and I guess I did not get my point across. So here is an attempt at doing just that. More below the fold>>>

We have now started to see the Patriot Act for what it is. A group of laws rapped around powers for the President that have nothing to do with terrorism. What needs to be done now is scrap the Patriot Act and actually put together something that fights terrorism and not just dismantle the rights of the citizenry of the country.

Now that a dark could is hanging over the White House, moreover Dick Cheney, speculations are starting (Again) if the Dickster will be kicked t the Curb.

A tell-tell sign will be if G. W. Bush says, I stand behind the Vice President, or Vice President Cheney is not going anywhere.

As I sit back and wonder, sometimes out loud about why the protest that have been staged since the beginning of the Iraq Invasion, Occupation don’t carry the same weight of the protest of the Vietnam era? read On.>>>

The reason I am bringing up these to pieces of legislation is because they are set to be put into place in May of 2008. Although some states are questioning the Acts, it is not because of the loss of the right to privacy, or the possibility of ID theft. They don’t even care that if they don’t follow Federal guidelines, they will basically make the citizens of their states prisoners of that state. It is about the cost, and who will pay for It.

When you are researching these topics, you have to be sure and search under the, 109th Congress.
